Modeller Collections ("we", "our", or "us") is a scale model kit tracker developed by Rastislav Heleš, operating under the domain modellercollections.fun. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
By using the Modeller Collections app (iOS or Android), you agree to the practices described in this policy.
01 Information We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service.

02 How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to operate the Modeller Collections service:
— To authenticate you and maintain your account session.
— To store and sync your collection across devices.
— To process your subscription payments via Apple App Store or Google Play (payment processing is handled entirely by Apple/Google — we receive only the subscription status, never payment card details).
— To provide geocoding for event addresses (address strings are sent to a geocoding API to obtain map coordinates; no location tracking occurs).
— To provide AI-assisted item identification, available to Premium subscribers only and only when you choose to use it: if you tap the photo-identification feature, the photo you take is sent to Google Gemini to recognize the model kit. The photo is processed in memory and is never stored by us or made publicly accessible (see Section 4).
— To diagnose and fix crashes and errors via anonymized diagnostic reports (see Section 1).
— To display your data back to you in the app.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
03 Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in two places:
On your device — a local SQLite database encrypted with AES-256 (SQLCipher). The encryption key is stored in your device's secure hardware (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) and never leaves your device.
In the cloud — a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database hosted on AWS infrastructure in the EU region. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS 1.3). Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensure each user can only access their own data.
Photos you upload are stored in Supabase Storage (S3-compatible), accessible only via signed URLs that expire after a short period.
Photos used for AI item identification are handled differently: they are sent directly to the AI service for analysis and are never written to permanent storage. No public URL is ever generated for them.
05 Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently deleted from our servers within 24 hours, including:
— Your profile, collection items, photos, wishlist, and events.
— Your subscription history and usage logs.
— All files you uploaded to our storage.
Master database records you contributed are not deleted (they describe model kits, not you), but your authorship is anonymized — the link between the record and your account is permanently removed.
06 Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Delete your account and all associated data directly in the app (Profile → Delete Account).
Correct inaccurate personal data via the app's profile settings.
Export of your collection data will be available in a future version of the app.
Object to processing of your personal data by contacting us directly.
You may delete your account at any time with immediate effect.
To exercise any right, use the in-app account deletion feature or contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
07 Account & Data Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the app:
In-app deletion (recommended):
1. Open the Modeller Collections app
2. Go to Profile (bottom navigation bar)
3. Scroll down to the Account section
4. Tap Delete Account
5. Confirm the deletion when prompted
Upon confirmation, the following data is permanently and immediately deleted:
— Your profile and account credentials
— All collection items (models, accessories, tools, paints, etc.)
— All photos you uploaded
— Your wishlist and for-sale listings
— Your events and event data
— Your dashboard settings and preferences
— All subscription receipts and usage logs
— All files stored in our cloud storage
If you are unable to access the app, you may also request account deletion by emailing privacy@modellercollections.fun. We will process your request within 30 days.
08 Children's Privacy
Modeller Collections is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the age of digital consent in their country of residence (which ranges from 13 to 16 across the European Union; it is 16 in Slovakia). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
09 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via the app or email.
Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
